Perfect January 14, 2008 W. Beard (TN USA) 4 out of 5 found this review helpful
I ordered this item not expecting much but thought it might be at least functional without spending $100 and disassembling the dash again. surprise, surprise, it works great, I can control the IPOD (touch) from the head unit, get full display of song and artist, and it charges the IPOD to boot. Highly recommend.
Yes, it's an IPOD cable but 10x better March 12, 2010 Victoria Miller 3 out of 4 found this review helpful
Yes, you can just use a regular ipod cable, I tried several including an expensive Griffin. They all had the same problem, if you move your phone much, the charge feature will often disappear. With the pioneer cable, that problem went away. The fit is far better and more secure. If you don't care about charging, then you don't need a cable anyway, just use the bluetooth. This cable was worth the money, as it's far superior to any ipod cable.
Plus to your car stereo January 12, 2009 Mauricio Montero Zeledon (San Jose, Costa Rica) I bought this item to connect my iPod with my car stereo. What I like the most is the color because you can hide it in your dash and it won't look funny when you have your iPod attached to it.
Works very good, iPod lock system is easy to remove and connector cap avoids dust from getting into it.
This device has enough cable distance to fit any dash of any car. If you want to use it as a backup for your original iPod connector, is great.
Expensive but indispensible once you use it February 22, 2009 Harold D. McMasters (Sandpoint, Idaho) After a month of hassles to get this cable I find it very handy, it is great to hook my I Pod up to and has a removable cap to keep the dust out when the I Pod is disconnected. So far I have it running around into my ash tray where I place my I Pod to keep it out of sight and handy to remove, etc. I plan on running the extension USB cable that came with my Pioneer head unit into the glove box eventually like another reviewer suggested.
Works...... April 12, 2009 Brett Husebye (Michigan) the cable works, I electrical taped it to the other cable coming out of the reciever I do not want it coming loose. Drilled a hole big enough to snake it under my stereo to a hidey hole in my console. Perfect.
